Welcome to My Classroom

My name is Melinda Duford and I teach Kindergarten at Jeffery Elementary School. I grew up in a small northern Wisconsin town called Cable. After High School I attended UW - Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin earning a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. After teaching at a preschool in Milwaukee for several years I went back to school to earn my Elementary Teaching Certificate at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee. I taught 3rd grade for four years at a private school in Racine before coming to Jeffery. I have been married for 12 years and have two wonderful boys. Both of our sons are 15 years old and were adopted from the Ukraine. We also have a Huskey-Retriever mix dog and a very fat cat to make our family complete. We enjoy camping up on Lake Superior in the summer.
