Welcome to My Classroom

Hello, I'm Anita Galusha. I have been a first grade teacher at Jeffery since 1997. I received my Bachelor's Degree in elementary education from Northern Illinois University in 1990 and my Master's Degree in gifted and talented education from Carthage College. My teaching experiences span from early childhood through sixth grade. After working as a third grade teacher in Waukegan's gifted program for four years, I enthusiastically joined the Jeffery team. When I am not doing school related activities, I enjoy spending time with my two children, Justin and Kelli. As a first grade teacher, I strive to create a nurturing environment where children can learn to become confident readers and writers.
