Penny Harris I'm Mrs. Harris one of the Second Grade Teachers at Jeffery Elementary School. I attended Carthage College for my BA and MA studies. In 1977 I started my teaching career as a Learning Disabilities Teacher right here at Jeffery. I've also taught as a Transitional First Grade Teacher in Kenosha. I've worked at Forest Park, McKinley, Roosevelt, Harvey, Jane Vernon, and Bain Elementary Schools. I returned to Jeffery in 1995 as a First Grade Teacher. I now teach second grade. The most exciting thing about being a teacher is helping children become independent learners.
